St. Anne Parish in Poznań

Parish of St. Anne in Poznan is Roman Catholic parish belonging to the deanery Poznan-Lazarus of Poznan Archdiocesy . It was erected in 1948. The parish seat is located at Limanowskiego 13 in Poznań's St. Lazarus.
== History ==
Until World War II the Catholic residents of Poznan Lazarus belonged to the parish of Our Lady of Sorrows. A significant part of the inhabitants of this part of the city were evangelical Germans (approx. 30%). For their use in the years 1904-1907 was built a temple dedicated to Christ (Christuskirche). The Protestant community functioned until the outbreak of World War II. After the war, due to leave the city by the Germans, the church took care of the local Catholics. Since 1945 began to celebrate catholic services.
Pastoral ministry exercised by priests from the nearby parish church. St. Michael the Archangel. April 1, 1948, Archbishop Walenty Dymek issued a decree appointing the existence of the new parish of Anne. Former Protestant temple is appointed parish church of the same name. The first pastor was Rev.. Tadeusz Nowakowski, former administrator of the parish of St. Michael. The first big investment was to adapt the interior of the church to the requirements of the Catholic Liturgy. In 1956, a team led by prof. Wacław Taranczewski wall murals done in the sanctuary. In subsequent years, it is undertaken investments in buildings in churches (rectory, parish house). In 1988, the state authorities formally transferred the buildings and land the property of the parish.
